With its offshoot product, Jordan Brand is plenty willing to let novel inventions build their own character. Look at the pastel-heavy run for the Jordan 4 RM, a major far beyond the purview of the parent Air Jordan 4.

However, some styles are successful for a reason, and planting well-established looks on models with existing ties back to the Retro catalog is often a sensible play. It’s why we ultimately aren’t too surprised to see the Jordan MVP 92 wear “Flint Grey” coloring in a colorway that keeps the spirit of the identically titled Jordan 7 alive while still pushing the envelope. With an upper/lower split between dark steel and pure white, the OG edition lives on, but navy lace options and the breathable panel on the quarter still allow this one to sit on its own regardless of its affiliations.

Look for the Jordan 7 MVP 92 “Flint Grey” on Nike channels and via retail partners in the coming weeks. A $145 retail price is confirmed in adult sizing.
