New Balance has their next delivery from the Made in USA Seasonal Collection on the way soon. Included in this month’s batch is a fresh pair of the 1300 runner, dressed in a pastel “Drift Red” shade, paired with a yellow accent.
The 1300 from New Balance was originally released in 1985, and encapsulated everything excellent about the ’80s running scene in one sneaker. The sleek silhouette features a simple build, mixing mesh and nubuck leather overlays, prioritizing comfort and durability above all. The model quickly became an important piece of the brand’s history, getting its first retro release just ten years later in 1995. Since then, the silhouette has returned every five years, heralded by the Japan edition for each new series. The latest retro has been a bit different, sticking around into 2026 and even joining the brand’s Made in USA line. This week, we have an official look at the 1300’s new “Drift Red” color scheme, a warm, pastel shade for the mesh and suede layers of the shoe, adding “Afterglow” yellow accents for the N logos and heels.

New Balance’s next release of their classic 1300 model, from their Made in USA line, is expected to release later this week on April 10th, though the shoe has not yet appeared on NB’s official release calendar. Dressed in a warm “Drift Red” shade with “Afterglow” yellow accents, pairs will be available through the brand’s official channels and select retailers for $220.
