Paul Rodriguez Teases a “British Tan” Color for His Nike SB P-Rod 1

This year, the Nike SB team delivered a faithful retro of their P-Rod 1 sneaker, celebrating the iconic silhouette’s twentieth anniversary. Now, Paul Rodriguez has taken to leaking new colorways, showing off a “British Tan” style during a recent livestream.

Launched in 2005, the P-Rod 1 marked the first signature model for skateboarder Paul Rodriguez under the Nike SB label, representing a major milestone for the brand’s skate division. It brought premium materials, Zoom Air cushioning, a cup-sole build and distinct design cues, like the “PR” monogram heel, that combined pro performance with streetwear appeal. The shoe helped uplift Nike SB’s credibility among skaters and collectors. Twenty years later, the P-Rod 1’s legacy is still going strong, with new pairs issued in 2025 to commemorate the model’s big anniversary year.

Despite the shoe’s return this year, only a handful of colors for the P-Rod 1 retro have hit shelves. Luckily Paul Rodriguez has reassured us that more are on the way. During a Twitch livestream this weekend, Rodriguez shared an early look at an upcoming release of the shoe, currently slated for a Fall 2026 arrival. The new look covers the model in a tonal “British Tan” color scheme, which is likely a nod to Nike’s seasonal “Wheat” colorways. The new look is constructed from a premium smooth suede, with perforated leather Swooshes and a matching brown sole underneath.

NIKE SB P-ROD 1 “BRITISH TAN” RELEASE INFORMATION

The new style of Nike SB’s P-Rod 1 retro was leaked by Rodriguez himself, though we are not exactly close to a release. The “British Tan” tonal colorway is currently expected to release in September 2026, nearly a full year from now. Only the third colorway we’ve seen of this iconic retro, the pair is hiding some University Red accents somewhere in its design. Pairs will release from both Nike and SB skate shops, with an expected $125 price tag.
