Contrast stitching is truly a love it or hate it detail on sneakers. And more often than not, people tend to lean toward the latter, unless it’s part of a larger aesthetic. There are exceptions, like this ongoing series of Air Force 1 LV8 models that debuted earlier this year in a Black/Aurora Green colorway that shoe-heads likened to a variant of the Tiffany & Co. collaboration with the Swoosh as well as the super-limted VLONE collab from nearly a decade ago.
The streak continues with another upcoming Fall/Winter release; featuring a full black leather upper and sole, Nike adds the contrasting grey via the visible stitch lines that trace the dimensions of each upper component. Grey arrives again on a suede-finish Swoosh logo as well as the detailing on the midsole. We suspect Nike will continue this style, because it seems to have struck a chord for AF1-ites.
Find these on Nike.com and associated Swoosh retailers for $125 in both mens and GS sizes.
