Essentially from the moment it first touched down, the Nike GT Cut 1 has been a pinnacle expression of basketball performance, one thoroughly enjoyed in its original run and one looked back on fondly as the “Greater Than” family forged ahead. No doubt, later stages like the GT Cut 3 have learned from what consumers loved most about the first, but the Swoosh has decided to reissue rather than replicate with the GT Cut 1 retro.
On top of re-releases for original colorways like “Laser Blue” and “Think Pink,” this second wind has featured new inventions entirely, none more notable than Dylan Harper’s player exclusive within the “Unseen Hours” collection. Another whole-cloth colorway comes to light with the Nike GT Cut 1 “Sprite,” a tacit embrace of the soft drink’s blue and green in inverse fashion across the right and left shoes. Though which hue gains the upper hand differs across this pair, th blocking remains the same, breaking up comprehensively shaded uppers with off-color hits in the Swooshes and sole units.
The Nike GT Cut 1 “Sprite” should be coming to shelves within the Summer 2026 window, sometime between now and the end of June. Expect the usual $190 retail price.
