Update (4/1/26): Official photos have landed of the “Mamba Day,” aka “Mamba Out” Kobe 11. A release will occur on April 13th.
Nike Basketball will bring back the Kobe 11 in 2026. One of the first colorways to return is the “Mamba Out” iteration. Initially launched in 2016, it was known as “Mamba Day,” which officially started the “Mamba Day” celebrations.
Initially known as “Mamba Day,” the shoes were originally released as part of the Nike iD program (now known as Nike By You) on April 13th, 2016. The release was to celebrate Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game. Starting at tipoff, you were able to customize your own pair, customizing them by changing the color of the base and placing unique text on the inside of the tongue.
Marking the final NIKEiD shoe of Kobe’s career. The shoes feature eight stats that pay homage to Bryant, including the dates of his first and last games (11.01.96 and 4.13.16), 18 All-Star appearances, 81 points scored in a game, five World Championships, four All-Star MVP awards, 20 years played in the league, and 24 for his jersey number.
The 2026 iteration of this Nike Kobe 11 will feature a Black and Metallic Gold color scheme. Unlike the initial launch, you won’t be able to customize the shoes. However, they will come with all of the accolades in Gold, Black on the base, and White branding. Gold also appears on the Swoosh and Kobe shield logo. The design is completed with an icy Blue translucent outsole.
