In recent years, adidas has become synonymous with both the soccer craze and the shift towards slimmed-down styles, two trends championed by their roster of “Terrace” icons from the Samba to the Handball Spezial. Yet especially in footwear, the line between capitalizing on a money maker and becoming stagnant is impossibly thin.

Befitting a company of their size, the Three Stripes has aimed to stay ahead of the curve, jumping onto the cresting “visible tech” movement with the adidas Megaride AG, returned from the archives with a splashy Willy Chavarria two-pack earlier in 2026. The mainline journey began with a classically Y2K silver edition, yet there’s only more coming from the weighty silhouette.

First up we have a “Real Magenta” variation, blacking out the molded Megaride propulsion underfoot and meeting it with moody pinks in the upper, particularly effective with a lightened patch at the toe. Though still stealthy overall, it’s a fitting way for the Megaride AG to meet brightened wardrobes for the summer season, where it’ll shoot to become a social media mainstay. From there, the shoe dips into classic “Triple White” and “Triple Black,” either one eschews much of the color-wise intrigue to instead emphasize its maximalist construction.
