It’s not often we get creeped out by a pair of sneakers, but this upcoming Jordan shoe for the Halloween holiday is sending us spine-tingling chills. Seen here is the Jordan Session, one of Jumpman’s newer lifestyle shoes designed with skate in mind, completely transformed to appear like the beast that dwells in fire and brimstone.

There’s no detail left untouched. The upper is cover in a black hairy exterior, while red horns protrude from the upper eyelet. Ghoulish eyes appear on the tongue, while the cracked graphic on the midsole appears more like scorched earth. Whether intended or not, this release appears to be inspired by Baphomet, the devilish goat often associated with Satanism. The details continue via the silver chains tangled with the black shoe-laces, while a silver septum barbell ring dangles off the lace-loop on the tongue.

It’s possible that this is Jordan Brand’s take on a bull, but the sneaker’s official product code of IM6666-066 contains the numbers known to represent the Antichrist, which by no means is an accident.

Simply put, this is the boldest Halloween sneaker we’ve seen from Jordan Brand in years, and there’s no question that backlash will follow given the sensitive nature of the topic. In 2021, Lil Nas X in partnership with MSCHF released custom Nike “SATAN” footwear containing actual blood and limited to 666 pairs. The shoes drew heavy controversy and ended in the shoes being pulled from the market.

With Halloween just around the corner, expect this release to hi stores this October.
