Kobe Bryant is forever tied to sports in Los Angeles, thanks to his full career with the Lakers. Next year, Nike will reportedly continue their Dodgers themed series of releases, with the Kobe 5 Protro getting the treatment for Fall 2026.

Nike’s revitalized Kobe line has been going crazy with releases for the past few years. The Protro format shoes serve as canvasses for all kinds of stories related to one of the most ambitious ball players of all time. The most common theme among Kobe sneakers is Los Angeles sports, particularly the Lakers, with whom Bryant spent his entire playing career. This Spring, Nike brought baseball into the mix, dressing the Kobe 6 in a Dodger Blue colorway towards the end of the MLB season. Now, it appears they are dipping back into that well with a new pair of the Kobe 5 Protro, coming in 2026. Details are scarce on this pair, and only a mockup of the shoe is available at this time.

NIKE KOBE 5 PROTRO “DODGERS” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next “dodgers” themed release from Nike’s Kobe line has not been announced yet, and is still likely early in the works. This pair of the Kobe 5 Protro is currently expected to release sometime in Fall 2026, likely towards the end of the MLB season. The pair seen here is a mockup, and does not reflect the final release version. Pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers for $200.
