Case in point, the Kobe 5 “X-Ray”, which is set to drop this month.

Officially announced by Vanessa Bryant, the Kobe 5 “X-Ray” is directly inspired by the iconic t-shirts that first released in 2010 after Kobe won his fifth NBA championship. Depicting an x-ray of a hand with multiple fractures, contusions, and other malaise, the shirt effectively communicates that the pain is thoroughly worth it when it comes to amassing championship rings.

On the upper of the Kobe 5, you’ll see an skeletal x-ray that shines in the dark. Yes, these do indeed glow in the dark, illuminating a soothing baltic blue shade against the deep royal purple upper.
