Tyrese Maxey is in the conversation of basketball players that don’t have signature shoes, but maybe should. New Balance inked the Philadelphia 76ers guard at the right time; the same year he won Most Improved Player and notched his first All-Star selection in 2023-24. He’s since been heavily featured in commercials alongside Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, and now Cooper Flagg, and also serves as a face of the brand’s various inline hoops series. Now offering up more evidence of Maxey’s importance, New Balance is releasing a performance/lifestyle collection for the rising star later this month.
Maxey was tapped to officially unveil the Hesi Low v2 last year, so it’s only natural that New Balance is giving him a release of his own. Official images show an icy mesh upper and light blue midsole to match, complemented by aquatic teal/purple on the TPU heel portion. Most Hesi Low v2s feature large New Balance logos within the mesh, but Maxey’s pair opts for the model’s alternative, smaller “N” in metallic silver on both sides.
The other half of the collection features the New Balance 1906R; one of the brand’s most ubiquitous tech runners. White canvas makes up the base layer, followed by white leather overlays featuring tan detailing. Light blue hits on the midsole, lining, and N-lock logos provide cohesion with the Hesi Low v2, while subtle violet accents hop on the midsole/outsole.
Tyrese Maxey’s New Balance collection is on Foot Locker’s release calendar for July 31st, 2025, meaning a newbalance.com release should occur on/around that date. The Hesi Low v2 clocks in at $120, while the 1906R commands a $160 retail price. See official images of both sneakers below if you’re moved to cop.
