Travis Scott Debuts a Nike Shoe With Indoor Soccer Inspiration

Travis Scott and Nike are pivoting away from basketball inspiration for the artist’s next signature shoe. This weekend, Scott pulled up to a Nike Football event in Miami wearing a new sample sneaker, seemingly inspired by indoor soccer shoes.

The last couple years have been interesting for the relationship between Travis Scott and Nike. After sporadic releases of Air Jordan 1s and other Nike models like the Air Max 270, we finally got a reveal for not one, but two signature shoes for Scott. The Jumpman Jack and Zoom Field Jaxx came from both partners of his deal, Jordan Brand & nike, respectively. This was a monumental occasion for a partner in the footwear industry, and very quickly we were inundated with sample after sample of colorways that were reported to be releasing throughout 2024 & 2025. Over two years later, we’ve only seen a handful of these sneakers reach consumer hands, 7 in total.

Now, Travis Scott is apparently working on another new signature sneaker with Nike. This unveiling comes a few weeks after speculation that Scott could leave Nike for their rival adidas, but these rumors were essentially baseless and quickly shutdown by the man himself. This weekend, Scott appeared at a Nike Football event in Miami, and stepped onto an indoor court wearing a never-before-seen silhouette. This new shoe could be the Mercurial model that leaked early this year, taking on a much brighter color scheme than the two black-based colors teased months ago. The shoe takes clear inspiration from indoor soccer footwear, with a thin midsole and very low-cut upper, and the use of a form-fitting bootie system inside. Scott’s reverse Swoosh motif is present on the heels, and an asymmetrical lacing system is giving serious Total 90 III vibes.

As of now, there is no further information regarding this new silhouette. We do not know its name, if it is an official Travis Scott collab, or if it will even release to the public.
