Jordan Brand’s latest leap into lifestyle has taken its loyal fans into a completely unexpected direction. Although the brand has never once suggested it was mean for the sport of skateboarding, the Flight Court brought in that sure-fire skate-shoe appeal, and it’s apparent that with the upcoming Jordan Session, the low-top suede-uppered aesthetic is the direction the Jumpman is wanting to head into.

A first look at this upcoming lifestyle reveals some stark similarities to the Flight Court. Various design touches such as the thick laces and the elliptical shapes on the heel strongly suggest a late 90s/early 00s vibe. The skate shoe inspiration is palpable as the thick laces that loop into a padded mid-foot piece that hint at solid board-feel.

Typically, Jordan Brand’s offshoot models borrow from the Air Jordan legacy. It’s nowhere close to apparent on the Jordan Session. In fact, a toe-down shot of the model reveals a toe-box design that undeniably remind us of the “dad shoe” looks championed by New Balance. Seriously, does anyone else see the 574, or is it just us?

With the Jordan Session headed our way this Summer/Fall 2025 season, it’s clear that the Jumpman is adamant about entering the lifestyle space from a new vantage point.
