With the excitement surrounding the release of the adidas Jellyfish continuing to build up into one of 2025’s best sneakers, there’s no doubt that many will leave this launch empty handed. Not to worry, because adidas has a consolation prize in the chamber for those who couldn’t quite wrangle a pair of the highly anticipated sneaker.
Sneaker News reveals a first look at the upcoming adidas Adistar XLG 2.0, an all-new lifestyle tech-runner based off the tooling from the Adistar family. Following the XLG line of exploded dimensions evident in other tentpole silhouettes like the Samba and the Superstar, the Adistar XLG offers an enhanced take on the model fit for modern tech-runner trends.
In short, the XLG series is not new to adidas, but this white/black/orange colorway is not beating the allegations of being a takedown version of Pharrell’s striking colorway of the jaw-dropping adidas Jellyfish, although the Adistar XLG 2.0 bears a brighter, more crimson-adjacent shade of orange.
