New Balance is slowly rolling out their FW25 lineup for the Made in USA line, with new styles every few weeks. Next week, they are dropping the latest edition of the classic 997, dressed in a sunny “Dried Apricot” colorway.
The 997 from New Balance is back this year, after a couple year hiatus in releases. The iconic runner, originally released in 1990, is being exclusively produced through the brand’s Made in USA program, but this year has entered the more limited Seasonal Collection. This subdivision of MiUSA is the label creative directed by Teddy Santis of ALD, which has already released a small assortment of colors so far.
This week, the Boston brand announced their next style of the 997 runner, bringing a bright colorway to the model that perfectly balances between brighter Summer colors and the current Fall palette. The new style comes primarily in a “Dried Apricot” shade, a golden yellow tone with enough brown in it to mimic a work boot shade like that of Timberland. The shoe’s mesh base comes in white, with mid layers in a Calcium shade of suede.
