The existence of a Salehe Bembury New Balance 992 was first teased back in October, within the designer’s book I Make Shoes. Now, we have our first official look at a blue & green pair, currently set to release early in 2026.

Salehe Bembury’s collaboration with New Balance has become one of the most celebrated designer-brand partnerships in recent sneaker culture. The two released their first sneaker back in 2020, and have released regular projects every year since. Bembury’s inspiration for these releases is most often the outdoors and nature, with the storytelling behind each model also helping to drive the color scheme, perfectly balancing both sides of a collab release. Earlier this year, Bembury release I Make Shoes, a book recapping his 15 year career in sneaker design. Hidden among its pages was a tease for an upcoming New Balance release; the 992.

The book’s release covered nearly every venture in Salehe’s long career in sneaker design, from his time with Skechers to works from Versace and Yeezy, before he went freelance. However, the NB section included some upcoming releases we had not seen yet, including two styles of the 992 runner. Today, we have our first official look at the first colorway from the pack courtesy of a release listing from the UK’s Offspring. The colorway comes in green and blue, starting with an electric shade of blue for the mesh base, and using three different shades of green suede across the upper. Small grey accents along the sidewalls help balance out the color blocking.

The next release from Salehe Bembury and New Balance has not been made official from either partner yet, but UK retailer Offspring has a drop scheduled for January 1st, 2026. This date could be a placeholder, or the US release is following at a later date. Either way, the bold green & blue color scheme will be available from NB, Bembury’s site, and select retailers with a price tag of approximately $260.
