The Air Jordan 1 High has donned hundreds of new colorways and special-edition styles over its forty-plus years on shelves. This Summer, the model will add another new look to its ranks, the Shadow Brown “Love the Game” edition.
The Air Jordan 1 has taken a back seat to some other iconic models from the brand’s lineup in recent years. In the late 2010s and early 2020s, new AJ1s were dropping almost twice a month, and the market quickly became oversaturated with a model that had previously been gatekept and protected by Jordan Brand for years. They’ve slowed their roll significantly with AJ1 releases in the past three years, turning their focus to other beloved silhouettes like the 3, 4, and 5, which have all arrived in some truly excellent styles in this era. Now, Jordan Brand is refocusing their releases of the AJ1 High on timeless, well-executed styles, like the “Love the Game” edition that has surfaced this week. The look follows the iconic Black Toe color blocking, featuring a white leather base with black suede for the toes, eyestays, and Swooshes. The heel and ankle panels come in a rich Shadow Brown shade, with a matching outsole to complete the look.
AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH “LOVE THE GAME” RELEASE INFORMATION
The next special release of the iconic Air Jordan 1 High OG has not been officially announced yet, but is currently expected to release on August 1st, 2026. The new look is currently known as “Love the Same” and features a “Black Toe” color blocking, with “Shadow Brown” coloring the heel and ankle panels of the silhouette. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $185.
