Earlier this Fall, Sneaker News revealed the six shoes to be featured in the upcoming Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. Confirming our initial report is the official unveiling of the 21st series, which includes the Air Jordan 17, Air Force 1 Low, Air Max DN8, Air Max Plus, V2K Run, and Vomero Plus.
The Designers
Below are the six child-patients of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital that participated in the 21st collection. Across these six individuals are a number of hobbies that include softball, nature walks, tacos, gaming, and stuffed animals. Each of these unique passions are expressed through the unique footwear designs presented below.

Air Jordan 17 Doernbecher by Zach Rumbaugh
The Air Jordan 17 joins the Doernbecher Freestyle for the first time in history. Designed by Zach Rumbaugh, this AJ17 features elements of cars and bikes via the mechanical hardware seen on the upper. The iconic elephant print is seen on the tongue, while the 38 on the hang-tag represents the number of days Rumbaugh spent at OHSU recovering from cardiac arrest.
