The Nike Daybreak had a nice moment in 2019 with releases from Sacai and Undercover. Now, the shoe has quietly returned. This month, Nike has two unique premium options, featuring puffy all-leather uppers.

The Nike Daybreak first hit the track in 1979, emerging as one of Nike’s defining early running shoes. Designed during the brand’s formative years, it featured a nylon and suede upper paired with a waffle sole, Bill Bowerman’s iconic innovation that provided lightweight traction and durability. The Daybreak helped establish Nike’s identity in the running world and became a blueprint for future designs. Decades later, it returned as a lifestyle staple through retro reissues and collaborations like the sacai hybrids, bridging Nike’s performance roots with modern streetwear appeal.

After a quiet few years, the Daybreak has emerged once more as a simple option from the Swoosh catalog. This Summer, the shoe landed in two fresh styles of the model’s classic construction. Now, more colors have surfaced, but these two pairs come in premium materials and tonal colorways for a unique spin on the classic runner. In addition to the all-leather construction, these pairs features a small amount of stuffing, giving the silhouette a puffy look. Overlays have been removed in favor of single-piece construction, but stitching lines still give that iconic Daybreak look. Two tonal colors are lined up for the release, one Anthracite black and the other Moon Particle beige. Both come with Coconut Milk off-white lacing.

NIKE DAYBREAK PREMIUM PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s new luxurious styles for the classic Daybreak runner are scheduled to release this month, on November 18th, 2025. Both the “Moon Particle” and “Anthracite” colorways come in premium leather construction with an accent lacing color, and will be available through Nike’s SNKRS app as well as select retailers for $115 each.
