It’s all systems go for the adidas Superstar. With collaborators far and wide already bringing their talents to the shell toe silhouette, adidas themselves has looked to leverage its vast roster of signed talent to highlight the model for the stretch run in 2025. Following a splashy Samuel L. Jackson monologue spot, now a further set of A-Listers are joining the iconic actor for a fresh ad.

While Jackson’s narration again sets the tone for this monochromatic edition (officially titled “Clocks”), things quickly shift to an eclectic group: Missy Elliott, Mark Gonzales, Anthony Edwards, GloRilla, Teezo Touchdown, Gabbriette, and JENNIE join featuring their own inidividual spins on the iconic Superstar. The latter is givne the most shine, concluding a grandiose portrait of the difference between shifting trends and enduring timelessness with an audio cue, shifting from Jackson’s voice to the BLACKPINK alumni’s.

Broadly speaking, this continues to showcase how the connection between hip-hop culture and the adidas Superstar (a link we recently showcased ourselves) is just the starting point of the shell toe’s influence, remaining as enduringly styleable as it was in its heyday as it is to this day.
