Though New Balance has become a true hype player, their bread and butter remains footwear for the everyday wearer. The brand has been able to straddle that line efficiently, issuing a string of street-style collaborations while keeping shelves stocked with more lifestyle-shaded propositions. It appears that same strategy is set to continue into 2025, with the New Balance 2002R “Dark Olivine” making a strong argument in the early going.
The shoe capitalizes on a layered design, adding an additional light beige pantone interrupting the “Dark Olivine” top notes and painting the mesh base layer. A frequent touch on the model, light grey 3M panels slide in between each, outlining the cut-out sections in the upper. Though the all-natural arrangment is best suited for the current cold weather, don’t sleep on the naturalistic shoe’s ability to slide into Spring wardrobes as well, creating some year-round wear at the very top of 2025.
Speaking of, we’re expecting the New Balance 2002R “Dark Olivine” to release in time for Spring ’25, carrying its typical $150 retail price. Check out official images included below to get a sense for what you’ll be getting upon arrival.
