Los Angeles-based apparel brand Bricks & Wood is back with another New Balance project this year. For this release, they are taking on the 1906U runner and applying a color scheme inspired by the Madagascan Sunset Moth.

Founded in South Central Los Angeles, Bricks & Wood aims to use their high quality cut & sew garments to foster a community in their home neighborhood. Over the last few years, their ongoing partnership with New Balance has helped grow the brand in scale and popularity, with their clothing becoming a major staple of the LA streetwear scene.

This week, B&W announced their next project with New Balance, this time featuring the 1906U. Very little is currently known about the project, but a post shared by designer Dani Barraza gives us a look at the inspiration for the colorway; the Madagascan Sunset Moth. Borrowing directly from the insect, the shoe features a jet black base in premium mesh and leather, with neon accents in yellow, red, pink, and green to mimic the moth’s vibrant look.

The latest project from Los Angeles’ Bricks & Wood and New Balance has not been announced for release yet, but we are expecting a drop before the end of 2024. Inspired by the Madagascan Sunset Moth, the colorful 1906U will be available from both partners.
