Aritzia is getting into the sneaker game this year. The Canadian “everyday luxury” brand has teamed up with Nike for their first collaboration, taking on the retro LD-1000 runner and dressing it in a simple “Fauna Brown” colorway.

Aritzia is a Canadian fashion retailer founded in 1984 by Brian Hill in Vancouver, British Columbia. Initially a women’s fashion boutique, it has evolved into a major player in the fashion industry, offering a range of in-house brands such as Wilfred, Babaton, TNA, and Super Puff. Known for its “everyday luxury” approach, Aritzia combines high-quality materials with contemporary designs. The brand has expanded its presence across North America, with a significant retail footprint in the U.S., found in nearly every major city and shopping center.

This season, Aritzia is expanding their collaborative output, teaming up with Nike to dive into sportswear through a retro lens. Their debut project with Nike brings that signature everyday luxury aesthetic to a retro Swoosh model, the LD-1000 runner from 1977. Repurposed as a slim lifestyle sneaker in recent years, Aritzia approaches the silhouette through a simple lens. Their take removes the shoe’s usual Swoosh branding in favor of a small embossed logo at the toe. The shoe comes constructed in what appears to be nubuck leather, colored entirely in “Fauna Brown”. This is paired with a lighter shade of brown for the leather inner lining, and comes with a clover hangtag as a final touch.

The debut collaboration from fashion brand Aritzia and Nike has not been officially announced yet, but is currently rumored to release on October 30th, 2025. Featuring the retro LD-1000 runner for their collab debut, the silhouette comes dressed in a tonal “Fauna Brown” style. Pairs will likely be available through both partners, and are expected to cost $125.
