The New Year is almost here, which means brands will start unveiling new collections. For Spring 2026, adidas Basketball and Anthony Edwards will launch the “Year of the Horse” adidas AE 2. As most of you probably know, the sneakers will be inspired by the Chinese zodiac sign. This release follows the “Year of the Snake” AE 1 that dropped early in 2025.
Taking a different approach, this adidas Anthony Edwards 2 lacks the traditional shades associated with YOTH releases. It features a Crystal Sky, Silver Metallic, and Collegiate Red color scheme. What I like about this pair is the shade of Blue used across the mesh tongue and heel. As for the base, it comes with Silver mesh, with the same shade on the venilated overlay. For a clean look, an Off-White hue runs across the nubuck upper, with 3M reflective details on the toe box. Adding to the theme, the left heel features a Gold horse emblem. The look is completed with a mostly milky translucent outsole with Red and Blue accents.
