Is this addition…by subtraction? This upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low demonstrates that some unexpected changes can yield some unexpected results, regardless of how unpopular these adjustments might be.
This upcoming AF1 boasts a full suede upper, soft to the touch. The Swoosh logo on the laterial side is rubberized for a bit of that hard-climate protection, although the additional armoring stops there. The rest of the build is consistent with the baseline Air Force 1 offerings that are typically offered at the standard $115 pricepoint.
However, the medial side tells a different story; not only did Nike add a miniature Swoosh logo on the inside heel, but the usual Nike check has been completely removed for a smooth, un-branded look that only remind us of Hender Scheme’s homage to this ’82 Bruce Kilgore classic.
Dropping soon in Black and University Blue, this AF1 will be coming to Nike.com and partnering retailers by the end of the year, or early next.
