The Nike LeBron business is at a unique juncture. The signature models, despite drawing attention from hoopers worldwide, may be priced too high relative to the market as full size runs for every LeBron 22 colorway are currently sitting, bound for markdowns. There isn’t much promise around the Retro business either, because Nike already ran through the most popular models in recent years.

One strategy has been to combine those two streams into one. The LeBron NXXT Gen depicts that new-meets-old package, capturing the Air Zoom Generation essence with modern performance and design touches. Worn by Bron, his son, and several NBA players, the NXXT Gen series certainly has promise as long as the brand keeps the consumer in mind.

Sneaker News debuted a first look at the LeBron NXXT GENISUS last November revealing two upcoming colorways for Spring 2025. Keeping to the NXXT Gen AMPD style with the double-Swoosh uppers, the GENISUS features a simplified upper while staying reliant to a patterned upper across four colorways. Official images of four pairs reveal a color theme to each; the red pair features a thermometer in water, the black/grey boasting a crown and crossbones, the platinum violet alluding to science, and the teal featuring the crown floating in water.

As of the publishing of this article, the “Platinum Violet” and “Teal” colorways are confirmed to release at Nike Basketball retailers on February 7th, 2025. The remaining two colorways are expected sometime this Spring 2025 season. All four versions carry an MSRP of $150, which is a $20 reduction from the LeBron NXXT Gen model.
