China has become an increasingly important market for sneaker brands in recent years, and that’s especially evident when it comes to Anthony Edwards and adidas. After checking off a sneaker industry rite of passage with their first-ever China tour this summer, Ant and adidas have crafted a “Chinese New Year” edition of the Anthony Edwards 2 for the Year of the Horse in 2026.

The adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low released in a Year of the Snake colorway in 2024, that shoe featuring scaly fabric and a chrome finish akin to iridescent snakeskin. For the Year of the Horse, the Three Stripes goes in a different direction with a standout graphic on the heel. Reminiscent of Mobil’s pegasus logo, adidas adds a gold graphic of a horse that cleverly blends in Ant’s #5 jersey number. The tongue and lining appear in baby blue, complemented by a red Anthony Edwards logo on the tongue and gold piping around the top portion. The rest of the sneaker, including the mesh side panels and TPU hardware, is anchored by shades of grey and metallic silver.
