Back in May, Nike SB released their first-ever retro of the P-Rod 1, Paul Rodriguez’ original signature sneaker. Releases have been few and far between, but luckily there are plenty more lined up for 2026, now including a red “All-Star” colorway in February.
Paul Rodriguez holds a special place in the history of Nike SB. In 2005, the two released his first signature shoe with the Swoosh, which also marked the first-ever signature model from the SB team. The P-Rod 1 was immensely popular among skaters, and would go on to spawn a ten-shoe signature line in the years to come. This year, the model returned as a retro for its 20th anniversary, though only two styles have hit shelves so far, the OG white & black pair, as well as a new “Bred” look.
Luckily, P-Rod and the SB team have plenty more takes on the P-Rod 1 lined up for releases in 2026. Last month, Rodriguez himself showed off two new styles of the shoe for next year, including a Dodgers-inspired grey and blue look, and a tonal “British Tan” version. Now, another colorway has emerged, seemingly celebrating the NBA All-Star weekend in February. The model comes in a mostly “Habanero Red” color across its suede and quilted leather upper. Dark red accents make up the soles and heel counters, while metallic gold Swooshes and Nike SB branding complete the look. Finally, a lace jewel with the NBA’s West division appears at the toe, either declaring P-Rod’s allegiance to one team, or w could see a matching blue pair comes February.
NIKE SB P-ROD 1 “ALL-STAR” RELEASE INFORMATION
The next release of Nike SB’s P-Rod 1 retro does not have a release date yet, but is currently expected to release during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in February. The new style comes dressed in a Habanero Red suede with gold accents, and subtle nods to the NBA’s West division. Pairs will likely be available through local skate shops and the SNKRS app for $120.
