Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Better with Time” Releases August 2025

The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Better with Time” will be released on August 2, 2025. Also known as “Nitro,” the shoes will feature a Black, Muslin, and Varsity Red color scheme and will be the first collaboration between the professional BMXer and Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 Low. The retail price is $160.

Nigel Sylvester has had a busy several years when it comes to collaborations with Jordan Brand. He helped get the Air Jordan 4 RM off the ground by dropping two collaborations. Furthermore, in 2025, the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 will be released. However, he has another project. He will release his own Air Jordan 1 Low OG for the first time.

We first saw a collaboration with the brand and the professional BMXer in 2018. The outcome was the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 High OG in Sail. Fast forward to 2022, and a sample pair in Black was gifted to him and, sadly, wouldn’t make a retail release. 

This Air Jordan 1 Low is dressed in a Black, Muslin, and Varsity Red color scheme. Our sources have confirmed the shoes will resemble Nigel’s 2022 sample pair. Featuring Black leather on the upper with a mixture of White and Sail on the Swoosh, midsole, Wings, tongue, and laces. In addition, the pair will feature scuff marks, while the Red outsole will come aged.

The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Better with Time” will be released on August 2nd, 2025, at select Jordan Brand retailers and online via Nike.com. The retail price is $160. Once we have more details, we will update you.

The “Better with Time” Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG is scheduled for a Fall 2025 release. Showcasing a striking Black, Muslin, and Varsity Red color palette, this launch marks the first collaboration between the professional BMX athlete and Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette.

Update (7/10/25): Nigel Sylvester has unveiled his upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Better with Time” collaboration. The shoes feature distress and aging marks, which are inspired by how his sneakers naturally wear down from bike riding. The “Better with Time” nickname is a nod to the proof of time well invested, such as in friendships, art, or vintage cars. They all get better with time. Furthermore, according to Nigel, this pair represents growth, evolution, and experience. A release is scheduled for August 2nd, 2025.

We have a first look at the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Nitro.” The shoes are inspired by his Jordan 1 High Sample from 2022. Highlighted with Black tumbled leather on the upper, Muslin on the Swooshes and midsole, while the Red outsole has an aged finish. Bike Air appears on the tongues and insoles, and “Jordan Biking Co.
