Founded in Paris in 1994 by Martine and Prosper Assouline, the brand began with a shared love of books and a passion for storytelling. Their very first publication, La Colombe d’Or, was born from a visit to the famed French hotel of the same name—Prosper captured its beauty through photography, while Martine crafted the accompanying narrative. This first book set the tone for what Assouline would become: a marriage of vision, editorial expertise, and artistic craft.   Over the years, Assouline has become a global symbol of luxury publishing, celebrating art, design, fashion, and culture through meticulously crafted books. From the worldwide success of The Memoir Collection in 1996 to their iconic boutiques in Paris, New York, London, Istanbul, and Seoul, Assouline has built a universe where every object tells a story.        Air Jordan: A Tribute to Greatness   We’re thrilled to add two Assouline titles to our collection: Air Jordan (Classic) and Air Jordan (Ultimate). Both celebrate the enduring 40-year legacy of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand, capturing a story that goes far beyond basketball.   Air Jordan (Classic) is the first authorized volume to honor the partnership between Michael Jordan and his namesake brand. Structured around six chapters—a nod to Jordan’s six championship rings—the book explores how he and the brand reshaped design, influenced culture, and elevated athletics. Featuring rare items from Jordan’s personal archives, striking visuals, and iconic advertisements, this edition chronicles the artistry, innovation, and impact that continue to inspire generations.     For collectors, Air Jordan (Ultimate) elevates the story into a true artifact. Limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies, it’s encased in a leather clamshell embossed with Baroque-inspired details and the Air Jordan logo. A custom gold medallion bookmark, an oversized Italian silk scarf featuring the Jumpman logo, and six golden rings hidden within the clamshell pay homage to Jordan’s six championships.
