The Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” will be released in Fall 2026. An original colorway that first launched in 1988, the 2026 iteration will feature true to original specs, including Nike Air branding. The retail price is $220.

Jordan Brand is set for an exciting year of releases in 2026. While it might not stack up to 2025, we do have some gems to look forward to. For Fall 2026, the brand will bring back the “True Blue” Air Jordan 3. In 2026, it will mark the 10th Anniversary of its initial debut.
The “True Blue” Air Jordan 3 is one of four original colorways. Initially launched in 1988 alongside the “Fire Red,” “Black Cement,” and “White Cement.”
Air Jordan 3 True Blue History
As mentioned, the original release of the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” occurred in 1988, and the colorway has been released a total of five times, with the sixth release arriving in 2026. The pair was first re-released in 2001, featuring the Jumpman logo instead of Nike Air. The Jumpman treatment would be given to the next two retros.
In 2009, the True Blue 3 would return to retailers. However, for unknown reasons, this pair was only available outside of the United States, leaving many confused as to why the brand would drop a highly popular colorway like this. Two years later, in 2011, we would see the pair release again, but this time it was available in the US. Although both pairs are considered the “True Blue” 3, they lack Nike Air, and the inside of the tongue is Blue instead of Red.
It wasn’t until 2016 that the pair received Nike Air treatment, and Jordan Brand attempted to replicate it as closely as possible to the original. This release featured Red on the inside of the tongue, and the shape did improve, but it still lacked the elephant print that the original pair had, as well as other small details.
As for the 2026 Air Jordan 3, it will feature a White, True Blue, and Varsity Red color combination. According to our sources, the brand will update the shape to make it closer to the original pair. This will include the liner on the inside of the tongue being tucked away, and the elephant print resembling the 1988 pair. Furthermore, the pair will feature White leather on the upper and the signature elephant print around the toe and heel. Blue detailing will land on the Nike Air, liner, top eyelets, and part of the midsole. Other details include a Red Jumpman on the tongue, inside of the tongue, and bottom eyelets, while a mostly Grey rubber outsole completes the design.
