If you only take the scope of 2025 off of “sneaker of the year” lists, you may miss out on the biggest movers over the past 12 months. Hardcore collectors and culturists may hold the kicks with the biggest resale markups in the highest regard, but Beaverton has made more money off the Dunk Low than the Off-White Jordan 1 by a hundredfold. Much in the same way, adidas’ “Leopard” series may miss out on the inner circle SOTY discussions, but it’s been such a reliable formula that they’ve visited the well again and again.

All of that brings us to the adidas “Leopard Magic Pack,” a fresh zoological redux of the Samba, Handball Spezial, and Japan. Still sporting the same overt Wales Bonner inspo and appreciation for the feline family, this capsule is arguably a bit more biologically faithful, pinning black and brown splotches atop a tan/beige foundation. The Samba goes brightest in how it builds out the rest of the shoe, utilizing an adjacent beige on the sole and leather liner, rounding out with a white heel cup and Three Stripes branding. Its two peers keep that formula in the upper relatively unchanged, but the Handball Spezial keeps to a more traditional gum sole, while the Japan adds faux-aged yellow to its sloped platform.

This trio of adidas “Leopard Magic Pack” looks: the Samba, Handball Spezial, and Japan, have already started popping up on overseas retail calendars, queued up for January 1st (in what could just be a placeholder date). The Samba clocks in at $120, while the other two command a $130 sticker price.
